How Does Power TrakTM work?
By extending the fork tubes and changing the angle of the triple
clamps, we have reduced the trial which creates "easy steering

WHAT MAKES THE POWER TRAK HD™ UNIQUELY SUPERIOR?
• Dimensions of the lower triple clamp have been significantly increased, providing greater strength than
the OEM cast steel lower clamp
• No fork tube replacement necessary. Locations have been optimized for the Daytona trike ride height
• Extended length fork caps increase the load-installed height of the spring to keep the front end from
sagging due to added forward weight bias of a trike

FULLY ADJUSTABLE SHOCK
California Sidecar has designed a new option called the Fully Adjustable Shock that fits most of our trike
models. This is not to be confused with our Preloader option. Where suspension systems are concerned,
there are two types of shocks. One is a preloader which is a standard feature on certain motorcycles.
The preloader adjusts the suspension firmness and ground clearance to the total weight of the riders.
The “Fully Adjustable Shock” is not designed to handle extra weight but allows the rider to adjust for a
softer, more comfortable ride or for something more firm for more aggressive cornering. Since the shock
is a linear adjustable shock, it simulta neously adjusts both the compression and the rebound and can be
adjusted while riding. The variable adjuster knob on the handlebar turns from left to right to change the
shock response. In the soft (left) position the compression and rebound rates change rapidly providing
for a smooth floating feeling for those long, soft rides on the open road. Dialing towards the right firms
up the suspension to assist a more solid, aggressive riding style; such as when a rider encounters curvy,
twisting terrain riding down a mountain road. In the middle position, the ride would be normal, just as
you’d get with a standard shock.

PRELOADER
California Sidecar offers a Preloader for Trike kits for motorcycles that do not come equipped with their
own. This feature is used to compensate for any additional weight load allowing proper ride height and
wheel clearance. This is accomplished via a hydraulic piston that compresses the suspension spring to
adjust tension. It does not affect ride quality.
